Beauty Tips For Body Care
A few of you may remember that last night I posted about how I was considering stopping Curology after only a week since my face was getting very red, irritated, and itchy. It was so bad that I went to urgent care after a few days in for the itchiness - they didn't have many suggestions for me and prescribed an oral steroid.I kept doing Curology since I thought I was just being a baby from intense purging... But last night, I noticed my face and lymph nodes starting to swell up and feel very tender. Definitely not normal purging symptoms. I decided to stop Curology and start the oral steroids. Luckily, my swelling is about 80% reduced today, but it still scared the hell out of me and could have been much worse.Just because something is a prescription doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious! I foolishly assumed that just because something was a prescription that it would be safe not to patch test. This whole situation could have been much better if I had patch tested since now my whole face is messed up.If you're starting a new topical prescription, definitely talk to your doctor about the benefits of patch testing it before moving on to your whole face.
