[PSA] Just a reminder that skin issues can be caused by internal problems, it’s good to rule out these factors so you know how best to treat!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Note: I apologize for my lack of knowledge on medical care in other countries, I am in Canada so doctors visits, blood work, follow ups, etc are all free. If you are able to see a doctor then this is for you.I have had acne off and on for a while but recently had clear skin for about 6 months. Randomly earlier this year it came back strong, flaming zits and closed comedones. I was obviously horrified. I work in an upscale bar as a bartender so I have to look my absolute best at all times.I tried to treat it at home for about 3 months, before I went to the doctor a few weeks ago to request testing as I had been having severe bone and muscle pains, exhaustion, etc. My blood work came back that my Vitamin D levels were terrifyingly low and I now have a prescription for 8 weeks to fix it.The doctor looked at my face and said “this may help your skin too, no promises as there’s not many studies, but immune health and overall health all play a huge role” ...something I hadn’t even considered. He also represcribed my Biacna as an added bonus. Two weeks later of a really heavy Vitamin D pill and gentle treatment with the tretinoin and it’s already improved drastically. If you are able to afford and visit a doctor, not necessarily even a dermatologist then DO IT, doing bloodwork and other simple evaluations are so easily overlooked. He stressed so much that so many skin issues come from internal problems, or that you might plateau in skin treatment because of underlying issues. Doesn’t hurt to rule out other possible causes.
