[Acne] [Product Question] Has anyone taken a break from differin? Did it cause you to purge when you started using it again?

I haven't used differin in about ten days, albeit I'm still using a BHA every other day. I initially took a break because I got a bad sunburn and wanted to let my skin recover - but now I'm thinking I want to finally see how my skin reacts if I quit differin for good and use other acids instead. I've used differin for FOUR years and have always wanted to test out a hiatus. But I'm terrified my skin will purge if I decide to use it again.If you took a break from differin - For how long? Did your skin purge? Did you use any other actives during your differin hiatus?
