I’m confused. This company confuses me nowadays. I respect the hard work Paula has done over the years and her products are really good but this just seems hypocritical to what they’ve said for a long time. They’ve rated acne cleansers on Beautypedia with BHA/salicylic acid with less stars stating that it’s because chemical exfoliants in rinse off products aren’t effective and aren’t normally formulated at the correct pH to function as exfoliants. Albeit they haven’t stated its function in the cleanser, but they openly have stated in the past that they dislike cleansers with chemical exfoliants so I’m baffled as to why they’ve reformulated it. Can anyone shed light on this? I’ve heard BHA in cleansers IS effective.
