Beauty Tips For Body Care
Ever since I was a little boy I started getting pimples before everyone else at my school (at like 10 years old), it was very annoying how they would pick on me for a huge one at my nose or in my chin, at that moment I knew I was in for a ride. The next couple of years were relatively calm but more and more zits were appearing with more frequency here and there, and they also started to show up not only on my face but on my body. At 13 years old is when it all really began; acne started to stay for longer periods, and also the pimples were getting bigger, whiter, and they also merged. Then I knew I had a problem, so I started seeing dermatologists more often (I saw one when I was 10 but it didn't result in much).I began getting facial cleansing sessions, which were really painful, and they began to prescript me tons of creams and pills which weren't really working as the acne kept getting worse along the years (and in all honesty I didn't use them religiously as they were prescribed since I was just a teen who just wanted to have fun, go to school, play with my friends and not having to obsess over my skin). At 15 years old my face hit an all time low, my acne was the worst and I was the person with the worst skin I had ever seen or knew. I was embarrassed to go out with my friends anywhere, people at my school always looked at me with disgust and some even asked me why my face was so gross, (adults did as well but not that badly). It was at 16 that they finally prescribed me accutane, it made my face really clean finally but also really dry (also full of scars left behind), and I took it for about 6 months until it ran out and it was nowhere to be found on my country (Venezuela). I relapsed again and at 17 my skin looked bad, but thankfully not as bad as when I was 15.Then when I was turning 18 (exactly one year ago) I began to take accutane once again and only lasted for like 3 months until one of my blood tests came out with some not so good results. Accutane kinda fucked up my liver (I did not ingest alcohol, my body simply couldn't take it). By then I practically gave up and thought I would never again have clean skin, it was my fate to live my youth with a shitty face, and maybe some day far into the future when I was 40 some new technology would help my skin get better. But that all changed when my mother discovered a new dermatologist through some TV ad, and she was relatively famous here. She said she already had made an appointment for me and that we had to try something new. At first I was kinda skeptical since I thought she would only prescribe me some creams and call it a day, which from my past experience hadn't worked. But my appointment was scheduled for July 16, and when I got in, she started to do all sorts of crazy stuff that I hadn't even imagined that existed, she injected my face with something (I don't really remember what it was) and in multiple places; she then popped my whiteheads and blackheads with some metal tool that I had already seen; and then they performed something called microdermabrasion on my skin, finally she put a chemical peel and prescribed me with creams and a cleanser. She promised she would fix my face, even my deep scars and that I was going to be left as if I never had acne.I was full of hope and started to do this routine religiously every night and morning, even adding some of my own stuff as I started learning and researching a lot about skincare, which is also how I found about this subreddit. Here is my current routine:(For the first 10 days after the peel I had to put "scarring cream" on as well as the cleanser without anything else)AM:-Essence Pureskin Anti-Spot Wash Gel-Topical Clyndamicin 1%-Aloe Vera Facemask for 20 mins then rinse (cut straight from the leaf)-Sunscreen-Tetracycline 500 mgsPM:-Essence Pureskin Anti-Spot Wash Gel-Topical Clyndamicin 1%-Adapalene 0.3% (I was supposed to use Epiduo but that is nowhere to be found here, so I decided to use the components separately, however I haven't been able to find Benzoyl Peroxide at 2.5% yet)-Aloe Vera Facemask and I leave it on overnight)Attached I will leave an imgur link with some pics of myself at different stages. (excuse my terribly hideous face structure, I have prognathism which makes my lower jaw protrude but I'm getting surgery for that by the end of the year!)Sorry for such a long post and if you read until here, thank you! I guess I just needed to tell someone my story.https://imgur.com/a/q9wDJVn
