Beauty Tips For Body Care
PRODUCT OVERVIEWProduct Photo – I didn’t cut it open but rest assured it was well loved and well used.Ingredients found in COSDNAIt says gel but, really, it comes out like a slightly thicker than average moisturiser – maybe a gel/cream hybrid, then. It’d quite easy to spread on both dry and moisturised skin. The product is also white (I think I remember once seeing somewhere it was yellow?!)MY EXPERIENCEI actually used this for about a month in February of this year and didn’t really give it a lot of props. I can recall from memory that during my use of it my skin was quite smooth and breakouts were at a minimum.I ended up picking this up again in a bit of a crazed effort to address acne prior to my trip abroad. I have been using it for just over 5 weeks now and have used that who tube up and have now decided to move on to a 20% option from Azclear. Hopefully the latter is effective and I can do a review and comparison in the future!Anyway, when I first used Finacea back in February I went uber slow. Like a snail. I applied it once a week for two weeks. Twice a week for two weeks (Monday and Friday) then settled on 3x a week before I canned it (Mon/Wed/Fri).When I reintroduced it in June I was a bit quicker off the mark and also more consistent. I went straight into every second day for a week then Monday to Friday from then on (so just over 5 weeks of 5x a week application). I apply it as my last step, in the PM which means it goes over a hydrating toner or humectant gel and (98% of the time) a moisturiser.I definitely am on the Azelaic Acid train. I’m not driving it, but I’m a happy passenger for sure. AzA is great for inflammatory acne and did a great number on helping diminish and keep mine at bay. Blemishes were well controlled to the point that, until I ruined it with diet, I had no inflamed lesions on my face. The acne that was around when I started, or the very few that turned up during use, would be gone within a couple of days. The texture of my skin was also quite smooth and I found my minimal scarring to also be less noticeable due to the lack of inflamed pimples around the place.I found that AzA was fairly good at getting rid of the PIE of the acne but I am not sure if it was really something to rave home about. Additionally, I didn’t really feel it did a number on other pigmentation issues as I had hoped it might, hence my bumping up to a 20% option.Overall, I think this is a solid option for people with mild to (maybe) moderate acne who want to give it a try. Now for most of you, Finacea is stupid expensive. Coming from Australia I can get it OTC at about AUD23 a pop. I know there are other options like Melazapam but I can’t speak for that so Finacea it is.Other resources I found when Googling Azelaic Acid and/or Finacea itself. Please note, while I do sometimes look at research, I usually end up making a lot of decisions based on anecdotal posts and finds.Finacea Gel Label – FDA InformationThe Ultimate Azelaic Acid ReviewAzelaic acid for acne, rosacea, melisma and hyperpigmentation | Dr DrayAzelaic Acid users: What’s your favourite product/form/percentage and where do you get it?u/JoanOfSarcasm 's Paula's Choice Azelaic Acid Booster / RESIST Skin Transforming Multi-Correction Treatment Review
