[Skin Concerns] So, it appears I have been doing skin care completely wrong...

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Since getting into skin care, I have consistently washed my face with "African black soap" containing coconut oil(I thought it was supposed to be good for you, as opposed to blocking your pores which I found out about only recently.) I mainly bought it for my backne, but I read it could be used for the face and it had good reviews on Amazon, so I just used it and moisturized my face after. But a few days ago, my forehead was red and started itching in the mornings, after applying the stuff at night.Soap in itself apparently isn't good for your face either as I learned on this sub just today. I also use a lemon juice, sugar and coconut oil scrub on my hands, I saw this listed in the cringe section and now I feel like a complete idiot. Could this scrub have contributed to little cuts healing very slowly on my fingers, per chance? My kitten likes to jab at them and the nicks are there for way longer than they used to be.There seems to be A LOT of contradictory info out there on what actually helps with your skin and it's really frustrating to me. I've never been someone very into my own looks and am a real noob when it comes to this stuff. Besides the proven stuff of moisturizer and sunscreen, how do I know what to do?Are there products or natural oils you can recommend for combo skin?(skin isn't oily, it's more dry, but I do get frequent acne.) A handscrub that won't further damage the skin on my hands would be nice too. Also my stupid frown 11s or whatever seemed to have only deepened, since I started taking proper care of my face. I hate them, cause I am and feel very young, yet look like someone in their 30s.
