[Acne] Thought spearmint was quackery, it fixed my hormonal acne

Beauty Tips For Body Care
This is just a PSA, inspired by u/thedownedfall for anyone who may have hormonal acne. I’ll just put everything I know in this post, since I know it would have helped past me out.If you’re not sure if you have it - usually the pimples are worst around the jaw area and flare up especially around PMS/shark week. In my experience products don’t make it flare up worse, or calm down. It’s the equivalent of putting water on my face for most products I swear.I had hormonal acne for like 3-4 years before going on a birth control, which cleared it up for a year or so, and then I got the horrible cysts again. (I figured this out through SCA and basically told my Dr what to prescribe me, lol.) it’s been about a month and my face is completely smooth save for PIH for the first time since I started on BC.I thought spearmint tea was new age crap and ignored it - i figured the same people who were touting spearmint also said apple cider vinegar cleared you of toxic energy. Turns out it reduces the amount of free androgens(?) in your system, calming the hormonal acne. It took a few days to kick in. I drink one big glass (probably close to 2 cups) a day. Yesterday I drank only 1 small cup and got one single pimple right on the corner of my jawline.Hormone-wise I don’t notice anything else. I’ve always considered myself kind of a masculine gal in personality, and none of that has toned down, I’m still active, lots of energy, competitive, assertive, all the stuff high testosterone is associated with. Thank goodness.Things to consider before you order a big bag of spearmint tea: -It can make periods irregular -it does change your hormones so keep track of how you feel. -Research in places other than Reddit, I’m an unemployed Economics major, not a doctor.Routine: PM: Glossier milky jelly cleanser, Cosrx blackhead power liquid, Tidal by Sunday Riley, infrequent use of retinol from TO.Am: Glossier priming moisturizer
