[Personal] Vanicream Lite Lotion, how I love you

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I thought I'd make a post about Vanicream lite lotion because although I've only ever seen positive comments about it, it tends to get passed over for flashier or more widely popular moisturizers.I haven't tried a ton of moisturizers, mostly because I'm a broke college student but also because my skin is crazy sensitive. I've tried:- a few different Aveeno lotions and creams (okay, but they either had overwhelming fragrance or clogged my skin)- Cerave PM (hated it, clogged my skin a ton)- Origins mega mushroom line (made me super greasy)- Sebamed clear face care gel (not moisturizing enough, also I think I might be sensitive to hyaluronic acid)- a couple of different Yuri Pibu creams (made me break out). For reference, I'm currently on my second month of tretinoin 0.025% gel, so my skin is pretty dry and sensitive. My routine is super simple; just Vanicream gentle cleanser, tret, and the lite lotion. The lite lotion is really, really nice. I wouldn't call it holy grail exactly, since I do have a weakness for luxury skincare and would love some nicer packaging or a few more bells and whistles in the formula itself. But the simplicity of the formula is why it works; it's so bland and unassuming and has nothing in it to irritate my hyper-sensitive, breakout-prone skin. The application is also amazing. It's exactly what it says: a "lite" lotion, thin and a little watery. But the great thing is, I can slather my face in a super-thick, white layer of this, and in 5-10 minutes it's completely absorbed into my skin. No greasy or heavy feeling at all. It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing moisturizer, my skin just feels smooth and soft and clean, which is exactly how a good moisturizer should make you feel. It hasn't caused any breakouts or clogged pores, as far as I can tell (although clogged pores are harder to look out for). Finally, the price really can't be beat. For around $12, you get a HUGE bottle that will last forever.*It does contain fatty alcohols and simethicone, so watch out if you're sensitive to that.Edit: forgot to say I’ve also tried plain Cerave cream in the tub and had an immediate bad reaction to it; redness and hives within half an hour
