Beauty Tips For Body Care
Stealing the title from another post. This one tip has increased the glow-factor of my skin, reduced my acne to extremely minimal and usually not the painful cystic bumps I used to get around and during my period, and has smoothened out the overall texture of the skin on my face and body.drumroll please...Diet matters so much to skin health. No I'm not talking about primrose or green or whatever fad tea is in vogue on this subreddit, nor am I talking about drinking water. I'm talking an actual, proper healthy, balanced diet with as many fresh fruit and vegetables as possible.I'd especially like to stress the importance of cruciferous and leafy green vegetables in your diet. Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, and kale have all been superpower foods in my experience. They're also so much cheaper than meat and extremely filling if boiled and eaten.Since I'm currently a full time student, working part-time, and freelancing constantly, I don't get the chance to get my daily vegetable intake. In these instances, I buy one of those vegetable smoothies from the grocery store and drink that, and even that helps hugely (and they're absolutely delicious because they're usually made with some sweet fruits like kiwi or mango). I highly recommend buying fruits and veg in bulk, pre-blending smoothies at home, and pouring a little into a bottle every day to take with you because starting at $3.50 per bottle, this shit adds up faster than coffee expenditure.Anyway, that's the tip that's really worked miracles for me. No amount of slathering on products and masks and exfoliants have done as much for my skin health as vegetables have.DISCLAIMER: This post, like most posts on this sub, are obviously geared towards people with normal levels of acne. If you have some severe or unusual type of acne, high high chance a diet fix isn't going to change it. Nonetheless, there are so many other benefits to eating right that you may as well do it anyways.P.S. I forget what they are called but a little while ago I saw some drinks being discussed on this sub, and I've seen ads for them floating around the internet. They claim to have all the necessary vitamins you need for excellent skin health, and you can subscribe to a delivery service that'll send you a case of these drinks on maybe a monthly basis or so. I remember this service being wildly expensive. Fuck that shit, these are the same vitamins you can get from fruits and vegetables IIRC, highly concentrated in drink-form. DIY it and save some big bucks.
