[review] Drunk Elephant babyfacial (25% AHA 2% BHA)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I just tried Drunk Elephant Baby Facial! My old skincare routine was very straight forward:Morning: CeraVe gentil face wash—-> rose water spray toner—>ceraVe moisturizing sunblockNight: CeraVe gentil face wash—->rose water spray toner—>ceraVe moisturizing cream followed by a synthetic retinol 20 minutes after.here is the post I made once about how I cleared my skin. the only thing that I’ve changed was my SPF.My skin? DRY. FLAKING, PAINFULLY DRY. With blackheads on my chin, sebaceous filaments galore, pimples around my mouth and one on my cheek. Could be better! I’ve been using the retinol for years and my skin used to be a shit show so I’m afraid to stop. BUT I NEED TO...so then I stopped.here was just how dry it was making my skin for refrence. I’m wearing makeup in this picture, but no matter what I would do my skin would be flaking in the middle super bad! I needed a change! And Honestly, my skin stayed the same. It just got its moister back. I weened myself off of it though, first I went one day without, than 2, than 3, 4 and then just stopped. I went a whole week, and then I made the switch.I applied drunk elephant’s baby facial (25% AHA 2% BHA) for the recommended 20 minutes after a shower. (My logic was I would open my pores, like what they do when you get a real facial with that stem thing? Haha idk if that part even helped, but it’s worth mentioning.)It made my face a little red, that was to be expected. It went away after 20 minutes. This morning I woke up and I swear to god, my skin is so much more even. It’s soft from the exfoliation, all my pimples have gone down, this giant black head that I was waiting is almost gone, the blackheads on my chin have shrank tremendously, and my sebaceous filaments aren’t looking as harsh this morning.I’m thrilled!I’ve tried so many expensive things to help my skin. (My second favorite being glam glow thirsty mud, applied overnight my my dry girls out there ) This truly is as close to an at home facial as I’m going to get. It’s not true that you need the whole DR line, you could just get this. My skin didn’t notice.Important things to note:if you are using an exfoliant, you need to stop before using this. It’s a chemical exfoliant and you don’t want to burn yourself. You need to follow up after with a good quality Moisturizer (we know this in this sub though)I would say doing it at night is probably better for you, so you can let your newly peeled skin rest. Try to stay out of the sun the following day. Obviously you should wear an SPF every day, but it’s crucial after you do a chemical peel.I hoped I helped someone here looking into it!
