[Personal] vent about salespeople insulting you & then recommending a lotion with gold glitter in it as though it's skin care

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I was just about to leave the store when this older male employee went "oh wait! Let me give you free a gift!"He handed off a small sample size of a lavender-scented hand lotion. Sure, whatever. "Wait wait," then scrutinized my face. "What you use for under your eyes?""Uh... rosehip oil? First Aid Beauty. It's a skincare line.""No no... hmm," then the dude actually touched my face/rubbed my cheek. "See, for the redness here," he pointed at my cheeks/t-zone, "This will make it go away." And he turned to his line of products.I should've just left right there. My skin looks great right now, especially considering I don't wear makeup and I know my shit re: skincare (if I do say so myself). Still, he pointed at where my eczema flared up recently and freaked me out.So I stayed, not sure what to do but getting angry. He pumps a watery lotion onto my hand and rubs. "This will get rid of any redness, rosacea, you know," he assured me."It's got glitter in it," I pointed out with disdain."Yeah that's gold - that's what you need.""Uh I don't think so," I replied, voice strangled.I think the guy turned back to his line of products - I don't know. I walked out.Just a head's up: first, if you've got eczema, you don't want watery lotions or gels - you want oily ones: oil moisturizes dry red scaly skin better than watery products do. Second, never let salespeople think they're doing a good job by insulting you/making you feel bad about yourself. Don't be afraid to tell them to go f themselves before walking out the door. 3) Never ever think something with glitter in it is anything other than detrimental to your skin and/or pores. It's wonderful for makeup & a night out - glittery skin is legit so much fun - but it's not going to help your skin in any way, especially if you have rosacea or eczema. Glitter/shimmer (whether it's organic mica or not & usually it's not) is just like... pretty dust mites as far as your skin's concerned.I'm upset I didn't follow through on my advice in #2 but I was just so damned surprised a stranger was being so insulting to me. I'd love to identify what store it was but I don't remember it & apparently it's new to the mall so the mall's website doesn't have it in its location directory. It was very sparkly pseudo-designer euro clothing but it had seats with mirrors along one side as though they also did hair & makeup (because I'm sure as shit they don't do skin care, hah).
