January 2018- I was using the cosrx salicylic acid cleanser and the cosrx aha bha toner. Skin was mostly clear, I was chilling.November 2018- I wanted to try out a new cleanser so I started using the neogen green tea cleanser. I hadn’t used the cosrx aha bha toner in months since I ran out and just didn’t repurchase.December 2018- All hell broke loose. Bought another bottle of the cosrx toner and within 3 weeks, my skin was the worst i’d ever experienced in my life. Pimples in areas I never break out, whiteheads EVERYWHERE. Not an exaggeration. I thought it could be because I hadn’t used it in a while, so I stopped using it but the damage was done.I spent January and February healing my skin, and while all the whiteheads went away, the cheek acne it had left me with persisted. Some days my skin was calm and other days it would break out everywhere. I was lost and confused and hopeless. I bought stridex to help, and while it did a little, my skin soon started breaking out again.Then I ran out of my neogen cleanser. Decided to buy my old cosrx salicylic acid cleanser again instead of researching for a new cleanser. Wow. I wish I had done this 2 months earlier. Almost cried tears of joy when it didn’t break me out.My skin cleared up within 2 days of use. I guess that neogen cleanser wasn’t reacting well with me and I had no idea. I introduced the cosrx toner slowly back into my routine, and it works just fine now!Just goes to show that apparently the cosrx toner doesn’t like being used with that neogen cleanser. It was fine with the cosrx cleanser. And I don’t know why, but after using the toner, the cleanser stopped reacting well with my skin. Rip.But anyways this is long and I apologize but I’m so glad I was able to overcome this skin issue and I can go out in public without needing to put on a truckload of concealer and foundation.
