Hey all. I've been doing some reading and came across a wonderful article on simpleskincarescience about fungal acne, and have begun to have some suspicions...my stupid chin stupid chin pt2 stupid chin pt3I ONLY break out on my chin. Literally nowhere else. I'm not sure if this is typical for fungal acne, and it's why I suspected I had hormonal acne for a while now (just since this year) since the chin is a common hormonal acne spot.Things that make me suspect it's fungal acne:it's ITCHY. It drives me fucking bonkersThe goop on the inside is like.. yellowy. gross.Seems to pop up no matter what product I put on my faceI have this like, red patch on the side of my chin (the 2nd pic) that is like a spawning ground for breakouts that never fully goes away. It's always red, even when I don't have any active breakouts.Things that make me confused as to whether it's fungal or not:It hurts! I read that's not typical of fungal acne and is more of a hormonal thing. Hurts real bad if I touch it (thru my hydrocolloids bc my hands aren't allowed on my face)Used to flair up around my pms time but now it's just kind of random. Not sure what tf this meansOverall I am a confused mfer. Could this be fungal acne? Or does the fact that it hurts like cystic acne mean it's hormonal?Thank you so much for any info.
