[B&A] Four years of high school as depicted by my skin :)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi everyone! My routine is below the image, but I do want to say a few things first. I am really proud of myself that I no longer spend hours photoshopping my pimples out of pictures before posting them. I never thought I'd be able to look in the mirror and not be disgusted by the person I saw looking back, and I'm just so grateful that I am at a place where I am confident in the way I look.In 9th grade, I didn't really have a skincare routine. I would sometimes use Neutrogena Acne Wash at night, but I mostly just washed my face with hot water and left it like that. I had no sense of how to take care of my skin, and it clearly showed. In 10th grade, my skin didn't look as dead, but there were still so many pimples. I would spend hours picking at my skin because I was just so embarrassed. At that point, I decided that I needed to do some research and get myself together so that I could stop hating myself. The transformation from 10th to 11th was absolutely insane. The biggest changes I made were that I stopped touching my skin, starting wearing sunscreen and moisturizing, actually used my topical acne medication daily instead of touching it maybe once every few months, and drank so much more water.I continued to tweak my routine afterward, and though there isn't as prominent of a difference, my skin definitely got brighter and smoother. I used to think maybe one day I wouldn't be repulsed by my own reflection. I never thought I'd be able to look in the mirror and think I was beautiful. But here I am, and I am so freaking proud of myself.https://i.redd.it/ly86helga5t21.jpgNow for my (overly-detailed) routine. Note-- I have combination skin and it's fairly acne-prone.AM--Depending on the day, I'll either rinse with cold-to-lukewarm water or Neutrogena Acne Wash. I use my hands to apply the acne wash in the morning the majority of the time.Next, I'll mix together Neutrogena UltraSheer liquid sunscreen (SPF 70-- I am super pale) and one of my CeraVe moisturizers* and apply it to my skin.I normally don't wear any makeup, but on occasion, I'll get gnarly zits which I cover up with a tiny bit of concealer mixed with moisturizer. But that's probably 3 or 4 times a year-- I hate the feeling of makeup on my skin personally.PM--First things first, I'll wash my face with Neutrogena Acne Wash using a Fancii rotating facial brush. After about 30 seconds of using the brush, I'll wash my skin with lukewarm water. About once a week, I skip the acne wash and instead exfoliate using Neutrogena Hydro Boost exfoliating cleanser (which I also rinse with lukewarm water). I don't want to over-exfoliate and since I already use the CeraVe SA Cream (which has chemical exfoliants), I try not to be too hard on my skin.I usually wait a little bit to give my skin a break, but then I mix one of my CeraVe moisturizers with prescription 1% Clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel. I apply a generous layer to my skin and rub it in for overnight. I then go to sleep for the night and feel refreshed in the morning!*There are certain products that I use interchangeably/depending on what I feel my skin needs that day-- for example, I switch between CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion and CeraVe SA Cream for Rough & Bumpy Skin depending on the texture and moisture levels of my skin.If I could keep only 4 products, they would 100% be my Neutrogena sunscreen, CeraVe moisturizer, CeraVe exfoliating cream, and Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide. These are my holy grail products and I don't see myself switching for a very long time!First of all, if anyone has any suggestions for me, I am more than happy to take them! And I'm more than happy to answer questions about my own skincare journey as well. Thank you for reading this far!! I really appreciate this subreddit and every one of you.
