Beauty Tips For Body Care
Screenshot of the postWhen someone told OP that their dermatologist recommended CeraVe and Cetaphil, OP said this:I have a major beef with dermatologists because of this. Cetaphil and CeraVe are HUGE brands. They buy the biggest spaces at medical trade shows and have tons of reps constantly at offices, stocking derms with samples. Rather than really examine someone’s skin and take 15 minutes to talk to them about what they really need, they throw Cetaphil at them and send them out. Both Cetaphil and CeraVe are basically water, alcohol and mineral oil. They may not cause any actual damage but they’re definitely not improving skin. When someone asked my facebook friend what's wrong with these products, she said this:theres no skincare ingredients in it that actually benefit your skin. Its the same thing as rubbing shampoo on your face. All you're doing is stripping the pills off your face when you use itOther people commented agreeing, but they pretty much all said the same thing or gave vague responses like they "gagged" when their derm recommended these, so I'm not including those comments here.I know this sub loves these products, so what does everyone think of this?
