37/F with hormonal chin acne. I think I've gotten a good routine down between a new Curology prescription, Differin, and being super super gentle with washing and moisturizing over the last few months. But every 6 weeks or so I get the big one. The massive, painful, underground, mother fucker of a cyst zit that is hugely embarrassing, you can't cover with makeup, and takes weeks to get rid of. I still have a purple mark on my chin from the last one not too long ago.Anyways, cut to last night, I feel the lump. I wake up this morning, she's angry, she's red, she's growing. I have a business mtg on Thursday, I have a lunch date Friday, I have drinks with an old friend Saturday. I don't have time for this and I am too old for this shit. I had heard about the shots here and thought, let's just try and see if I can get in at the derm. Probably not a chance but let's try. They tell me they have a quick 15 min opening appt, just come in, he'll shoot it, I'm out. Oh shit yes!It was EIGHTY DOLLARS, yes $80, but I truly feel like after just 5 hours, it was the best money I've ever spent.
