[Routine Help] Does my occlusive need to be applied RIGHT after my moisturizer or can I wait a couple of hours?

So I use Cerave Healing Ointment as my occlusive, but it is quite greasy and makes my skin VERY shiny and so on. No problem with that but I'd rather not walk around with that the whole afternoon - I apply my PM routine when I shower, which is around 6 - 10 PM and never really do it right before I go to bed. So can I do my routine at around 9 PM and then apply my occlusive right before bed, which would be a couple of hours later??
