Beauty Tips For Body Care
I know that you guys understand. I'm a 24 year old teacher with more acne than most of my students. Its hormonal, sensitive, cystic, and painful. I feel like I've tried everything struggling with it, and have spent so much money, including $90 for a specialist to tell me I should wash my face more. But today, for the 3rd day in a row, I woke up with no new acne. I've been going through a differin purge for the last 2 months so my self confidence has had an even worse hit to it. A bartender asked me if I was considering getting on accutane. My vanity is littered with half used products that have varied from doing nothing to making things worse, including many things that are highly recommended by this sub. And today, I went to do my morning skincare routine, which includes lancing whiteheads, and there was nothing there, again!! First 2 days I thought it was maybe just a fluke but I am on day 3 and feeling so great and confident.I have a hell of a lot of things I still need to deal with that I have been ignoring until I can get the active breakouts under control. PIH, really dark sebaceous filaments on my nose, some milia under my eyes, and a surge of pinprick closed comedones over that last few weeks that are giving me a weird texture. But those things are manageable and something I can start dealing with now, hopefully with some of the products I already have.No foundation or concealer at work for the first time in 6 months I even went for an interview this morning like this, no base products, just bronzer, brows, mascara, and lipstick. This sub has been such a key resource for me. I am so grateful to all the people that have helped me here both directly and indirectly. Everybody who posts here, the extensive research, product reviews, routines, and everything else.If anybody reading this is new to the sub or feeling discouraged, I will say that some of the most important advice I've received from this sub has had nothing to do with products. Patience and acceptance of the situation has helped me more than many of the products suggested here. Every product is not good for every face. Research, swatch test, and don't buy into new product hype. If it works for you then it works for you!Routine:AM: cerave bar soap, pixie glow tonic, simple moisturizer or cerave daily lotion. 4% benzyl peroxide wash every couple days in place of cerave bar.PM: water rinse, cerave soap if I wore makeup, differin, moisturizer. I also physically exfoliate with st Ives once or twice a week.
