Is this a normal dermatologist experience? [misc]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I’ve been having hormonal (I think) breakouts since November, and I have been waiting months to see a dermatologist. I’ve seen my primary care doctor a couple times but they could only do so much and prescribed me benzaclin so I’ve just been using that (along with a cleanser and moisturizer).Fast forward to today- I have my very first dermatologist appt. First off, it was with an APRN not a “doctor”.. I thought okay that’s fine she obviously must know her stuff she’s still a medical professional at a dermatologists office. This woman tried to convince me that my breakouts are solely from stress (they’re not- this is the least stressful time of my life). And she ALSO questioned why I was using a moisturizer... I was like what do you mean? Then she said that no one ever in their teenage years or twenties should EVER use a moisturizer unless they have a dry spot. I mean, I’m not a medical professional and maybe that works for some people but from what I know moisturizing is important, even if you have acne. Maybe I’m completely wrong and this nurse is right I just feel SO defeated. She didn’t even examine my skin only glanced at it from 5 feet away and the appointment probably lasted a total of 5 minutes, if that. She prescribed me a “sufaclense” face wash (8/4 sodium sulfacetamide 8% & sulfur 4%. Does anyone have any experience with that product?I’m just really upset and maybe I’m overreacting and this experience is completely normal.. but it just felt off to me. Don’t know what to do now or if it’s worth trying the product or going to the follow up appointment in a couple months.
