Beauty Tips For Body Care
I don’t know how people are gonna react to this but I’m gonna say it anyway. I’m talking about posts where people don’t mention using a prescription in the title. They list their routine and sneak in at the end “I also started [insert prescription treatment here], but the other products have made such a difference!”Don’t get me wrong, I know that a combination of products/pills can help alleviate skin issues. I just find it frustrating when people make it seem as if their skin is clear purely based on their routine...when it’s actually because they were prescribed something. It’s misleading. Of course your skin is clear if you’ve been on accutane for 6 months. This is something I know first hand. I’ve been prescribed antibiotics before which completely cleared my skin up. The only skincare products I used whilst on them were cleanser and moisturiser. I had the best skin of my life so far, and that had nothing to do with what I was putting on my face. It’s even worse when people fail to mention that they were actually prescribed something. I remember a post a few months ago where someone claimed that their ‘simple routine’ cleared them up. It wasn’t that at all - it was because they started birth control. Something they didn’t admit until someone asked them in the comments. I feel as if some (and that’s key here, some) people make a post because they want karma and compliments. And they get massively upvoted because they’re attractive.Anyway. I guess what I’m trying to say is, skincare alone may clear some people’s skin up, but for a lot of people, it isn’t enough. I think we should be mindful of that.
