I had horrible zits on my upper back, papules and pustules that itched and were sore. I tried a lot of different acne treatments like salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, tea tree oil... nothing worked, and I was feeling helpless.I read about pityrosporum folliculitis and how people have horrible bacne for YEARS they think is resistant to treatments and all they need is an anti fungal.So I tried using Selsun Blue shampoo, applied on my upper back and left on a few minutes before rinsing. It did help a great deal but not completely.So I read some more articles and read that clotrimazole cream can help. Yes, the over the counter athlete’s foot cream.After a few days, my bacne that had been there for a year was completely gone! It has been weeks and I still haven’t seen another zit.Crazy thing is I applied it a few times to my break out prone chin and haven’t had a break out there in a long time.
