[Product Question] My La Roche-Posay sunscreen looked terrible under my makeup. I thought mineral sunscreens were a good choice, is there a different type I need to look for that won’t leave a white cast? New here, just trying to get started taking better care of my skin!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I bought La Roche-Posay’s Mineral Antihelios Sunscreen-Gentle Lotion because it seemed very highly rated. The SPF 50 was appealing as well because I am ghostly pale. I noticed it did leave a kind of white caste on my skin while applying so I just tried to make sure it was really blended in before applying foundation.I was shopping at Ulta today and caught my reflection in a makeup mirror. Much to my horror a very WHITE face stared back at me (much worse than my usual paleness). All you could see was sunscreen-everywhere. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it appeared to have settled on my face, giving my skin/makeup a gritty kind of cracked appearance. I do have dry skin but made sure to apply a good moisturizer that morning. I was so embarrassed I just left the store and went home to immediately wash my face to get everything off.I’m new to doing proper skincare etc, esp using facial sunscreen under makeup. Clearly I have no idea what I’m doing! I thought this sunscreen would work well and not be too white/thick because it was a mineral sunscreen? Is there a certain type of sunscreen I should look for that won’t do this to my face? Every one I try seems to leave a noticeable white cast. Is this avoidable?Thank you for your help! I’m clearly still learning hereEdit: I forgot that a few months ago I also bought La Roche-Posay Antihelios 60 Cooling Water-Lotion Sunscreen. It doesn’t list zinc oxide as an ingredient, which I’m assuming is the culprit for the other one’s white cast? Would this be a better option?
