Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi,I‘ve been following r/SkincareAddiction for quite a while now and got some useful tips for my skin. Today I am writing this post because I‘m desperate and I don‘t know what to do anymore. I have an oily t-zone, with my forehead beint the most problematic area of my skin. I started getting bad acne on my forehead about 3 years ago, and since then, my skin has gotten better thanks to my dermatologist and this subreddit. But it‘s still bad, and since i started getting acne, there has literally never been one pimple free day. I honestly don‘t know what I could help my skin with anymore, lately, it has gotten pretty bad again and I‘m just done with having a super bumpy skin. I‘m hoping that maybe somebody‘s got another idea what else I could do, because I am so incredibly frustrated and just want to have normal skin again. :(A bit of information about my skin and my current routine: I am 18 years old, and started getting cystic acne on my forehead and smaller pimples on my cheeks and chin when I was about 15 years old. I visited my dermatologist and she gave me two creams to treat my skin: Acnatac (Clindamycin and Tretinoin) and Differin (Adapalen). I rotated between these two creams, and they definitley lowered my acne, even though differin stopped working for me after while so i just used acnatac. As I said, it improved my skin, but my acne never went fully away. But since Acnatac is a very strong cream, i stopped using it after half a year, because you shouldn‘t use it for that long. So now I‘m here with my 4-5 huge red cystic spots on my face, not knowing what to do anymore. My current routine is (AM and PM are the same): - Clinique take the day off balm (Makeup removal) - Cerave foaming cleanser - Klairs supple facial preparation toner - Hadalabo goku jyun hyaluronic acid - The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%+Zinc 1% - The Ordinary 100% plant derived squalane - La Roche Posay Effaclar K+ (moisturizer just for my forehead) - Kiehls avocado eyecream - Nivea essentials light moisturizing day cream (For everything except my forehead)I feel like none of them improve my skin that much, except hadalabo, which definitley made my skin less oilier. I was really disappointed about The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% because it basically does nothing for my skin :( What I want to add is that I do not want to start any anti-medication, even though I‘m thinking about getting on birth control. And I know i won‘t recieve genuine medical advice here, and i have contacted my dermatologist again, but I‘m still hoping that some of you have an idea or a tip on what to do with my skin. Thank you so much in advance ❤️
