Beauty Tips For Body Care
Like the title says, I generally don't wear make up (partly because I have some issues with the make up industry and partly because most concealers irritate the hell out of my dramatic skin anyway), so if anyone out there needs a little reassurance that they won't get shunned from public for going outside with visible acne, here's some pictures of my face:cyst I had a few months back (quoth my brother: "you look like a unicorn")my face right now (yeah I don't know what's going on with it either lmao)some mild break outs (1, 2)I walk around like this in public. Go to classes, go to clubs, go to bars-- no one's ever given me shit for it. The only people who ever even comment on my skin are some family members (who I'm admittedly used to tuning out). Like, guys, I had that cyst on my forehead for three months at school before I finally went home for spring break and got it drained. And no one was ever rude about it (except maybe my brother haha). If anyone was thinking anything mean, it never affected their treatment of me. I've never noticed any difference in how people act around me when I have clear skin vs when I have broken out.I guess the point of this post is: most people are nicer and know how to mind their business better than high school movies would have you think. Basically everyone has had acne at some point. Anyone who would give you shit for yours is someone you shouldn't waste your time on, and for the most part, very few people will actually give you shit for it anyway. So basically, don't let your skin keep you from feeling confident going outside. Obviously wear make up if it makes you feel more comfortable, but if you ever forget your concealer one day, try not to worry about it!And if you take nothing else from this post, just remember that I spent three months wandering around with a horn on my head and was not stoned to death, so the chances of you being socially ostracized for a breakout are very low lmao
