[acne] I think I finally found the cause of my hormonal cystic acne..

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I can't believe I hadn't made the connection before, but I believe I came to a realization about my hormonal cystic acne.I'll start out by saying I am a long time reader and have had a skincare routine in place a year or two before this issue started occuring. Almost exactly a year ago to this day I got my first cystic acne pimple on my chin. It lasted for 3 weeks and was incredibly painful.. unfortunately that was the tip of the iceberg as I became plagued with more and more acne all over my chin and jaw. I started going to a dermatologist and of course started retinol, aczone, and eventually when nothing was really helping, spironolactone. My acne went from getting a new pimple once a week to getting them twice a month with them lasting only about a week (thanks to aczone), but oh the scars that they left!! I am so fair skinned that everything on my face was so glaring and obvious. I lost a lot of self-esteem, not to mention that the acne was pretty painful as well.Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I was at my hair salon chatting with my long-time hair dresser. She is vegan and I am vegetarian, so we talk about new foods or substitutes that we've tried pretty often. I was telling her how much I am enjoying non-soy subs like sataan when she starts telling me about the effects of soy ("soy brain", male breast enlargement, hormonal fluctuations) due to higher estrogen levels and I suddenly came to a realization... I got a new and better paying job a year ago and started buying soy substitute products like CRAZY. I was eating it 2-3x a week and that's when my problems began. I haven't had a breakout or pimple on my face since my boyfriend moved in, who doesn't like my soy stuff as much..So I tested that theory and completely dropped soy altogether and low and behold.. not a single acne pimple. I even have been off Spiro for over a month (it killed my sex drive) and still have a clear face.So for my fellow veg/veggie/substitute people... Watch out for too much soy!!!!
