[Acne] Using absolutely nothing on my skin really did clear my acne!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I just want to share my results based only on my experience, I have no idea how this works or for how long is it going to work for me. I'd be really happy if someone here can explain.A bit of a backstory:I used to never believe that the no-skincare routine will ever work for my skin, because since I was a teenager I suffered acne and horrible skin in general. On the other hand, both my sister and my mother had naturally clear skin and they did nothing to their faces (except my mother started wearing anti-ageing creams in her late 30's) so I always believed that no-skincare routine only works for people who had naturally clear skin. So, since I was a teenager I started washing and moisturising my face religiously every morning fearing that if I ever stopped, the horrible acne I had when I was 13 will come back. It seemed to work, I still got pimples here and there but nothing outrageous. However, my skin texture was horrible, my skin was always oily and I had very bad blackheads on the T-zone.Fast forward to 3 years ago which was my first transformation. I discovered oil cleansing (MUJI's mild oil cleanser). It completely transformed my skin, I don't remember the last time I've seen blackheads, my skin completely stopped being oily, the texture was so smooth and I never even thought it was possible for my skin to ever feel like that. So, for the past year and a half I've been using oil cleanser and a moisturiser. I had the best texture but I'd still get pimples here and there. Then I discovered this subreddit, and I wanted my skin to look even better and to stop the pimples completely, I read a lot to not risk anything, tried to understand how everything works and what can I experiment with. I reached a pretty good routine that consists of: weekly AHA exfoliant (Derma E), daily vitamin C serum (Mad Hippie), 2-3 per week rose-hip oil, every other night Pixie glow toner, moisturiser (CeraVe) and kept on using MUJI oil cleanser (and I did apply sunscreen everyday). This again, transformed my skin, it cleared all the scars, I had a bright smooth and plump skin. I did however still get pimples but it was reduced to small ones and they clear up easily (it was still very rare to have pimple free skin though but it was one to two at a time). I was very happy with my skin, so I continued this routine.Until last May, when my skin went crazy (no apparent change in lifestyle) ... I suddenly started getting horrible acne (mainly chin and cheek area) and my whole face was hurting, it was worse than when I was 13 (where my acne was mainly around the chin, nose and forehead). The first thing I did was, I stopped using my usual routine and only used the oil cleanser and the moisturiser, but whenever I apply them my skin gets irritated. So I stopped using them. I tried to experiment with non-oil cleansers and different moisturisers including ones that worked for me in the past, but my skin would still get irritated. So, I had to stop using anything.Verdict/TL;DR:It's been almost 4 months since I stopped using anything (only water every morning). I didn't get a single pimple since, none.At first, when my acne started clearing, my skin texture was horrible it was too dry and I had redness mostly around nose and eyes area but I kept resisting using anything just to see what happens. Then the dryness and redness got resolved and the acne completely cleared and as I said, not a single pimple since.I admit my skin used to be way softer on my extended skincare routine, but hey if I'd choose between a softer skin vs. no pimples I'll choose no pimples with no doubt. Conclusion:I don't know for how long will this work, if it's only a phase (I want to test it for a whole year to confirm). I don't know if I'll be willing to reintroduce some products, to be honest this routine is very comfortable, not only the clear skin, but also saving tons of money + environment friendly + hassle-free packing + unplanned sleepovers ... and more.I'm 27 now, and my acne when I was 13 made me think that I have to use products to maintain a partially acne free skin. But maybe after 14 years of that, my skin is mature enough to take care of itself without products.P.SI don't know how using no products at all is going to effect my skin ageing process, that's the only thing that makes me think of reintroducing some products. But honestly, my grandmother and her sister use nothing and they have amazing skin at +60 years old.
