Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I know this is going to sound a little pathetic, but in the last few years I’ve been crying a lot. Like excessively at times, and especially at night before bed or right after waking in the morning, to the point where my whole lower face is basically wet. And this definitely sucks a lot and I hope this ends but.... I’m wondering if this is somehow making my skin better? For as long as I can remember I’ve struggled with my skin in just about every way; breakouts, redness, dryness, oiliness, pores, rough skin, uneven tone, you name it. My skin is also very sensitive and prone to allergic reactions, so I can’t use a lot of the more powerful options for exfoliating or acne treatment. I would usually wash my face twice a day with a gentle cleanser, sometimes one with a little salicylic acid. I also tried out a variety of moisturizers, sunscreens, and creams from time to time. This helped a little bit, but left a ton of room for improvement, which seemed to occur pretty suddenly and dramatically after I started crying frequently. The difference was unbelievable. I never imagined my skin would look totally normal, much less angelic 😂 seriously, it’s totally clear, almost poreless, soft, smooth and “bouncy.” All the words skincare advertisements use to try to get you to buy their products apply to my skin. At least, that is, as long as I’m still crying on the daily. As soon as I start to get into a better, more stable mood where I’m not crying, my skin starts looking worse. Not awful; still much better than how it was in the past.I’ve incorporated products with hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and azelaic acid into my daily routine, which I believe are mostly responsible for keeping my skin looking pretty good consistently. But still, the only times I have flawless, absolutely radiant skin is during phases with pretty much daily/nightly crying. What’s going on here? Could this be the result of the tears themselves? Is crying causing a release of stress which is benefiting my skin hormonally? Maybe it’s not the tears, but when I’m sad I sleep more, go outside less, eat differently, etc. and these things are helping my skin? Anyone have any similar experiences or insights?TL;DR Suspicious that crying frequently might in some way be causing unusually clear and radiant skin.
