[Misc] Skincare Tips for People With Depression

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi, I think it would be nice if we could all share our tips for people with depression. I'm depressed and I often find it difficult to force myself to take care of my skin. The mere idea of getting out of bed to wash my face can be overwhelming. I'll share some things I've figured out, and I hope others might have some also. We're in this together <3Pillowcases: Keep a clean pillowcase inside of your pillowcase/pillow protector. This way, you'll be able to change your pillowcases without much extra effort. It's not ideal, but it's a lot better for your skin than not changing the case at all.Simplify your routine as much as possible: If you find your long routine very overwhelming, and often cannot find enough energy to start it, cut out some of the extra steps. I promise, using a cleanser and a moisturizer once a day is better than doing a 12 step routine once a week. You definitely don't have to throw any of those products away, but don't feel obligated to do your full routine every day.Motivation: If you're too overwhelmed to wash your entire face that day, see if you can motivate yourself to wash and moisturize the problem areas. You'll get to the rest of your face when you have the energy. I also find I often "trick myself" into washing my whole face when I do this, because I start out on the "problem areas" and then pretty soon I want to wash the rest.If you can do all or part of your routine in bed, keep the products on your nightstand. I've seen a ton of people on this sub do this, and I think it's a genius idea.
