Beauty Tips For Body Care
Over a course of year and a half I [27F] gradually dropped 40lbs which resulted in some newfound pronounced fine lines and first signs of crow’s feet on my under eye area (that was always thin, dry, crepey and showing dark circles). For the last 3 months I’ve tried hydrating the area using TO’s hyaluronic acid on damp skin, followed by La Roche Posay’s Lipikar and Cicaplast B5 moisturizers. At first the results were looking promising but as time went by the dull texture and problems with dehydration lines returned. I wanted to purchase La Roche Posay’s Redermic R retinol cream as I read on this subreddit that it’s a good entry level retinol. When I got to the pharmacy the lady at the counter assured me that I’m too young to be using retinols or any other anti age skincare products for that matter and that I should “let my skin combat the issues on its own, because once you start using anti age products your skin gets lazy and stops repairing itself naturally”. At first it sounded kinda crazy, but I wasn’t in a mood for arguing so I just left without buying anything. Do you think I should just go someplace else and buy the retinol or should I maybe first give vitamin C serums a try? Thank you so much for your help in advance!
