[PSA] I had a Patch test at the allergist - holy moly!

I just finished up my follow up with the allergist - I went in because I had a severe reaction to another type of medical adhesive, and wanted to make sure it was the medical adhesive and not something to do with the surgery I had 1 month ago (I had to have a repair with medical mesh- and I STILL have the very clear outline of where the tape was on my skin). I had the North American 80 patch test done (I figured I hit my deductible, and was panicking that I was allergic to the mesh- which is inside me). The test yielded that I'm allergic to 8 different chemicals/formulas. I had no allergens known of growing up, this has all happened in the past 7 years, after pregnancy with my first.FYI, the patch test itself (the adhesives used to keep the patches on) set off my contact dermatitis. I was so incredibly itchy, I had to put ice packs on my back in order to sleep (which i didn't get much of the second night). The nurse was so funny today, she was like "Ohhh, Wow!" Most people that they have come in think that they have a bunch of allergies, but then their patch test comes back negative. I honestly was just trying to figure out what adhesive I was allergic to, I didn't think I'd have other issues. I had 8 positive reactions which apparently is a decent amount. I am SOO glad I did this!!Now onto the task of figuring out my skincare HG to figure out how to get my hormonal acne under control, after going through my entire stash of skincare products and purging the offenders.....
