Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm 35, caucasian, and have been lucky with clear skin most of my life, occasional dryness, occasional hormonal spots. I don't wear make up, and until recently was using a home-made oat/clay cleanse, honey face wash and Rosehip oil. Recently wanted to up my anti-aging game and have been gradually introducing TO Niacinamide, Vitamin C Laa Powder and Amino Acids and NIOD CAIS, MMHCA and Flavanone Mask. Everything is making my skin super soft and looking less dull, brighter in general. Trying not to overdo the mixes and just using one or two things a day.But I've now become aware of new pigmentation on my cheeks, almost as if I'm getting white patchy areas. I think this happened particularly after introducing Niacinamine (every morning) and then got worse with the Vitamin C (two/three nights a week). I stopped with the Vitamin C actually because that's when I started thinking perhaps it was a bad reaction having patchy skin lightening. Then I researched a bit and found out about 'melasma' from sun damage so now thinking it might be this condition. But almost in reverse?! Is that possible? It looks like I'm getting more paler patchiness than I had before. I'm not sure if this is just because the products are working on lightening something I didn't notice before, so now I'm noticing it more? Or if it is some kind of negative reaction. There is no redness, itchiness or drying. I'm just really aware and concerned about this colour change and continuing using products incase it makes my skin tone worse instead of better? I've hardly ever used sunscreen on my face (I know, I know!) so have also started that recently with NIOD Survival 30. Perhaps I always had this low level long term sun damage without really realising it before, maybe the 'tanned' darker areas were blended together more into a general tone and now some areas are fading it all looks more obvious? Does anyone else have experience of this? Should I be concerned? Or do I just carry on and wait it out hoping the rest will even out the tone over time?
