Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi, so I’ve been dealing with congested pores for years now. The last year or two, I’ve been doing more research on skincare and I believe my skin produces too much keratin/sebum causing me to deal with plugged pores all over my nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. They are like white raised bumps and when I squeeze them, either hard keratin plugs come out or sebum. I’ve tried BHA/AHA mask, Glycolic Acid, and Niacinamide from The Ordinary with little results.I’ve also tried creams like generic Amlactin, Rough and Bumpy from Gold Bonds and SA cream from Cerave. The SA cream from Cerave is what I got the best results from, which I’ve noticed flatten the raised bumps. However, the bumps usually come back and uglier even using it days later. That’s basically been the story of my clogged pores, it gets better for a week for two then bigger pimples start forming again.Every once in a while I get these big raised cysts?? on my cheeks that if I leave alone they turn kind of purple and when I pop them, blood and pus comes out. I was prescribed Doxycycline Monohydrate as a test on my last Derm appointment to see if it would help my acne plus my scalp inflammation causing hairloss (A whole other story). It did absolutely nothing for my acne which I read it only works for bacterial acne. So that gave me the assumption that my body just produces too much keratin/sebum.I have a follow up appointment for my Derm and I decided I’m going to ask for Accutane since that was another option she gave me. My question is do you think Accutane will help my situation and is there any other products I can try to help with my congested skin? Thanks!
