Beauty Tips For Body Care
This was released today, but I managed to get mine two weeks ago - so I've used it 14 or so times, in the evening. It's a classic balm - thick, no water, oil-based and emulsifies with water. Strips anything oil-based beautifully, like sunscreen or makeup. Zero smell. It's in a tube and is very temperature dependent. In the morning, when the bathroom has been cold (winter, UK), it's basically unusable - it's solid, and you'd have to dump it in a warm sink for 15 mins to squeeze it out. In the evening, it's perfect, and squeezes out with the consistency of toothpaste. I suspect this is why balms are usually in pots... but I despise pots, so I'm fine with the possible mild inconvenience. It only works as a first cleanse - you need to follow this up with a gel cleanser to get rid of the residue, else you can become unexpectedly greasy later in the day (from the few times I've used it in the morning).BUT... if you use it like that (evening, first cleanse)... it is wonderful. Does its job, leaves the skin (after second cleanse) soft, happy, uniform. It's the best balm I've ever used (I've used most of the main ones, Clarins, Lacome, Pixi, etc). It's incredibly cheap, and is full of oaty goodness that's pretty hard to get outside Aveeno. It says you can used it as an oat face mask, and leave it on for 10 minutes - I've tried that, and it's great... but no better than just a quick wash with it, because it's already great.I've already bought it again (arrived today, because I fear it'll sell out).£9.99/150mlPrunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Candelilla Cera (Cire de candelilla), Silica, Sorbitan Stearate, Tribehenin, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Aqua (Water/Eau), Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Lecithin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Biosaccharide Gum-4, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil.
