[Acne] Pro tip: if you have persistent acne on your chest/neck/shoulders/upper back it could be caused by your hair products!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I work at a spa and I'm always surprised at how many people don't know this.If you're getting acne and clogged pores on your shoulders, back of your neck and upper back it could be caused by one of the following things:Conditioner that is too heavy for your hair (think too many moisturizing ingredients that clog up pores) or just using too muchProduct not being rinsed out well enoughLong hair transfering product to your skinSolutions to the above: 1. Use a lighter conditioner if possible - some deep conditioners (especially cheap ones) can have ingredients that dont melt in water that isnt super hot meaning too much gets left on the hair and skin and clogs pores. A lot of 2 in 1s have cheap moisturizing ingredients in them and almost all the guys that come in with neck/shoulder/upper back acne use 2 in 1). A good idea is to gently wring excess water out of your hair THEN put a small amount of conditioner in and secure it with one of those big 90s/2000s claw clips. If that doesnt work make sure you are doing the next step:RINSE your conditioner out well AND wash your body AFTER you condition. A good routine is shampoo, condition, rinse well then twist your hair up and secure with a claw clip while you wash your shoulders, back and everywhere else. A soft bamboo scrub brush with a salicylic acid cleanser should help clear things up and keep pores from clogging.Use less heavy leave-in products and/or tie your hair up at night. A good extra would be to include your back and shoulders/chest in your nightly face-cleansing routine until things clear up.Hope this helps someone who has body acne!
