[Misc] First time oil cleansing/massaging drastically improved the appearance of my skin! (No pics sorry)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi guys. Thought I'd share my story! 24F here and relatively new to the skincare scene (thought I'd give it ago whilst in lockdown - if my face falls off, then there's no one to see it). I've never had a proper skincare routine before - and I even avoided wearing suncream because I liked the freckles I'd get from the rare English sun. I know, I know...Anyway I've had closed comedones, sebaceous filaments, and milia for probably a decade. My skin is otherwise 'normal' type I guess, though as a teen I had pretty oily skin and mild acne (who didn't?). In the past I've been to beauty salons for facials (they'd even try to squeeze them out - I now know how terrible this is!!), used physical exfoiliants, and in the last 18 months I've tried AHA and BHA solutions on and off. Nothing really worked in tackling them. UNTIL NOW.I ordered some self tanner from Clarins to mix in with moisturiser (to make up for how white and washed out I'm going to look with my new 50 SPF lol), and it came with the option to get some samples. So I thought what the hell I'll get some oil after hearing some things about it. I went for the 'Lotus Treatment Oil' - didn't find much about it, and what I did find wasn't all that great because of the added stuff in it. I actually forgot I even had it for a few weeks. Bored, I decided to use it.I massaged it into clean, dry skin for maybe 5 mins and just like that - I rubbed out SO. MUCH. GUNK. out of my pores!!! The grit!! I was in SHOCK, and slightly disgusted, but mostly just shocked!! I'd say there was probably a good 50% reduction from my cheeks and my nose immediately. And my skin was not irritated after it at all - in fact it seemed so even and soft. Honestly I cannot believe how different my skin looks and feels - I would have taken before photos if I had known what a difference it would make! You have to take my word for it. I was in such disbelief at first and assumed it was just bad lighting and checked again in the morning. I wish I knew about this YEARS ago and am now slightly annoyed how easy it was to get such a result in the end!Sorry for the long post I needed to share this somewhere! I guess the wonders of oil probably isn't much of a surprise to most of you. I've done it twice since, and I'm still massaging out grit. I'm hoping that tret will tackle the more difficult bits. Also now looking at going into oil cleansing full time so happy to accept any oil recommendations you may have!
