[Personal] If you had a Personal Skincare Constitution, what will the Preamble look like?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'll begin by sharing mine. I am 24 female, "desi" brown, with hyper-sensitive, reactive skin. The skin on my body is dry and eczematic. Like a lot of brown folks, my biggest concern is hyperpigmentation. These are the list of "basic rules" I have for myself.1) Drinking water is your best friend. Think aquaholism. Think Nigella Lawson. Think Ariel from The Little Mermaid.2) No mixing of actives!3) No buying skincare products with the picture of lemons on the packaging.4) Mud masks should never be allowed to get bone dry. 10-15 min is good enough and doesn't cause any irritation.5) Products should not be bought without reading the ingredient list. Even if it means buying the product from a brick and mortar store at a higher price, than ordering it online where the ingredient list is not posted.6) Hyaluronic Acid and Panthenol are your best friends.7) EMBRACE the shine! Moisturiser is your friend. That tough friend that scolds you for your own good!8) Eye cream is just expensive moisturiser. Save your money. Spend on serums! Or earrings! Or gifts for friends!9) NO. ROUGH. FACE. SCRUBS! DUMP. THEM!10) Gentle chemical exfoliation is god. Keyword is 'GENTLE.' Err on the side of caution.11) I solemnly swear to NEVER take low-grade facials from beauty parlours. (My mom had beautiful skin, till she started going for facials from beauty parlours. They spoil the skin more with their carelessness than they help).12) No matter how tired. Wash your face before bed.13) However, no amount of leftover makeup will harm you as much as tugging, and pulling, and rubbing of skin will. Don't risk giving mechanical damage to your skin just to reach that LAST BIT of eyeliner.14) Sunscreen! Sunsreen! SUNSCREEN! Don't be afraid to be that dork that carries sunscreen in their backpack and re-applies in the middle of treks.15) If it stings, THROW THAT SHIT OUT. No amount of money spent on expensive products is worth the risk of harm.16) Change your bedsheets once a week!17) If you suddenly get pimples or scratchy skin, then it could be because of your environment. Change your bedsheets, wash your towels, dust and broom your room. 95% of the time, the itch will heal without any routine changes.18) A strip of antihistamine tablets have to be in your wallet AT ALL TIMES! (One mosquito bite or interaction with an unknown plant, and my entire body breaks out into hives)19) Just because it is "ayurvedic" doesn't mean it is safe. Just because it is "chemical" doesn't mean it is harmful.20) A few pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles are fine. They are the battle scars leftover from a life well lived.I understand that these do not apply to everyone. And I might end up changing some of them as I age. Some of these might even be controversial to others. But in the last few years of trying to take care of my skin, these are the BASICS that have worked well for me. That I feel I need to stick to, no matter how my routine or product recommendations change. What about you? I would LOVE to know your skincare "rules." Or the Preamble to your Skincare Constitution. And how they have changed over the years.
