Beauty Tips For Body Care
I know it's been said before but as a relative noob I'll say it again: that stuff is STRONG and not to be messed with lightly.I, like many an excitable newbie, decided to just "add in" a couple of actives. Specifically, I had finally gotten to a pretty solid routine for 40 year old oily- and acne-prone skin: Neutrogena oil cleanser, panoxyl 4%, Stratia Liquid Gold, Ulta MD Clear. At night I had tretinoin .05%. It was good, skin looked good, but I was seeking MOAR and still had a little bit of melasama from previous pregnancies, some large-ish pores, etc.I put in a Deciem order based on their pigmentation routine and started last night with my (I thought) safe and considered "integration" of:AMFoam cleanser (CeraVe SA), TO alpha arbutin + HA, TO niacinamide + zinc, TO vit C in vit F, TO azaleic acid, Ulta MD Clear 46PMOil cleanser (Neutrogena), TO alpha arbutin + HA, TO niacinamide + zinc, Tretinoin .05, Stratia LG, AquaphorLol. And thinking "if this helps maybe I'll add in more!"Well. Well well well. As I sit here with my red peeling face covered in aquaphor that burns like fire I just wanted to put it out there: don't be me. Don't mess with a good thing. Add one active at a time. And do not underestimate TO products. Yeah, they're cosmetics. But oooh doggies they are STRONG.Edit: on phone, added punctuation.
