Beauty Tips For Body Care
For all my fellow dry-skin warriors, who have applied moisturizer to their face and finished their routine, love the feel of their skin for all of 2 minutes then go back to hating their skin once the layers of products start to dry, please read this post.If you're anything like me, you have dry or dehydrated (idk the difference) skin and are constantly trying to find the HG moisturizer that will fix all your issues, that you can apply on liberally and that will be absorbed into your skin and not dry and leave it looking moist and a tiny bit oily and last for a long time ..... But every time you try a new moisturizer, you apply it a tiny bit on your face out of caution, it works great for the first few days but eventually it goes wrong; either the moisturizer stops doing its job, or it starts making your skin even drier. Sometimes, you may even get the feeling that the moisturizer works only for a few minutes but then makes your skin become even drier, tighter than before, making it feel like a mask.If this is the case, most likely you just starting liking the product, so after the first few days you reasoned that applying more product wouldn't hurt and would make the moisturizer even more effective. So you apply more product than you would, and surely enough it leaves a nice, thicker layer over your skin and your skin feels even more moist. But then after a few minutes the product starts to dry, and the excess that could not be absorbed into your skin loses moisture and starts to set into a mask of dried product. This makes it feel as if you literally have a mask on your face. Even worse, the dried product is hooked into your skin so when you stretch your face (e.g. yawn) it feels as if you are ripping your skin open, when in reality it's just the dried product splitting. So here's my advice. Of course it won't work for everyone, but if you relate somewhat with what I wrote here, then consider seriously decreasing the amount of product you put on your face, try putting not enough product on your face. Here are some tips:apply less than you needapply a small amount on your finger, then divide that on both sides of your face, then dab in 4-5 small dots, say one near each corner of your eye, one on your cheek near the corners of your mouth, one near the corner of your jaw, etc. You cam apply a tiny bit more on the remaining areas like nose, chin, upper lip, forehead, etc.pat a few times first to roughly distribute it, then gently spread towards the edges of your face. Try to always spread downwards and slightly outwards to avoid irritationif some areas you feel were missed, try to move existing products there, resist the urge to take new product for that area, leave the area untouched worst case, see what happens and if you really needed ittry to apply when your face is almost completely dried. I usually squeegee the excess water downwards and towards the edges of my face using both index fingers, then dry my fingers, then repeat once or twice until there is little water left, then wait a bit until that evaporates. You want there to be some moisture still in your skin, but none left sitting on the surfaceignore the super common advice here of applying moisturizer to wet skin, this just exacerbates the effect as the moisturizers thins out and []dries like sediment when the extra water evaporates
