Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi all, I lurk on this sub because I am a full time skincare fanatic (28/F acne prone skin for 15+ years, though it is not sensitive or overly oily).I want to keep this quite simple because every time I look for answers I feel overwhelmed with contradictory information! I would like some clarification on my skincare routine - which actives I can layer etc, as I am hoping to add a new cleanser and nail a solid routine.AM• currently African black soap, looking to change to Face Theory Clarifying Cleanser (Aha/bha)• Hyaluronic acid (while still damp)• Vit c serum• Poppy Austin 2.5% retinol moisturiser• SPF 50 then makeup if going outPM• African black soap/double cleanse with sulphur bar if wearing makeup• Prescribed Duac gel (been using two weeks)• Poppy Austin retinol moisturiserSO... my questions are these:• Can I introduce the Face Theory aha/bha cleanser alongside other actives? If so can/should I use it morning and evening? Is there another cleanser I could incorporate in the evening to tackle acne/manage ageing?• Following from previous question- should I go back to hyaluronic moisturiser (I used the boots one) if I use the aha/bha cleanser. My key skincare requirements are to keep acne at bay (I have been on lymecycline for 8 weeks) and to combat the harsh drying effects of the Duac with retinol, I’m also just at the age I now need to add an anti ageing layer in to my routine! I’d really like to keep the retinol in my routine if possible. Ideally I’d like to avoid doing different routines on different evenings because... well... I can’t be arsed with that faff?! Also I’d like to keep my routine as minimal as it can be, considering these two requirements. It’s worth mentioning my acne is clearing up pretty well, so I’m not having to deal with major active breakouts on a daily basis. (I just get a few wee ones in the hormonal areas now).I’d be really thankful if anyone could cast some light on how I should be layering, and if I can add the Face Theory cleanser particularly.Cheers aye!
