[Acne] How can I support my brother with his acne insecurities?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
My (22f) little brother (17f) has acne on his cheeks. I'd say it's moderately severe, but not sure? It's red, not very raised but there is some scarrage as he's had this for some time. His skin got a lot better for a while and then he started using a bunch of products to speed up the clearing up of his skin. This had a negative affect on his skin and it got worse. He has been self conscious about his acne the whole time, but at this point the insecurities worsened. He went to the doctor and was prescribed some medication, antibiotics I think, that he's been taking for a couple of months. His skin looks better than when he used the products, but not as clear as before. He's very upset by how he looks. He's a handsome boy but all be can see is the acne. If he catches himself in the mirror or a camera, he gets really upset. He's texted me a few times to say he's crying at school. He doesn't like talking to our parents because they don't quite know how to support insecurities.I'm asking you guys what you think a good way for me to support him is. I tell him he looks handsome because he does. He is in good shape so I point out that his working out has been great and he should be proud of himself. But when it comes to the acne, I'm not quite sure what I should be saying.Any tips or thoughts? I'll respond to any questions.TLDR; Younger brother is self conscious about acne. What can I do to support him?
