[Acne] So it turns out the products I used as a teen are the only thing that work on my adult acne.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Skin type: pale, very tolerant to exfoliating (physical and chemical), normal verging on dry. Never oily.A few years ago I switched from the hormonal pill birth control to the non-hormonal IUD. Commence my skin going haywire, going from once mostly clear to constant, widespread acne. I'm 27.I've tried everything - every active you can think of (I've literally tried every Ordinary product), supplements, spiro etc. My acne wasn't budging, and was in fact getting worse. CC's EVERYWHERE that inevitably turned to cysts later, which inevitably left red marks on my very pale skin. IF they ever managed to come to a head.A couple months ago I reached my breaking point and decided to dig in to the products I was using. I stopped wearing complexion makeup. I also found out that many people couldn't tolerate CeraVe - a product I'd used for a decade - so I cut that out. While I was at Walgreens looking to replace my cleanser, I thought to myself "screw it, I'm going to go back to basics and use what I did when I was a teenager" (but with new wisdom... like the need to moisturize)And... it's working. I currently have ZERO active pimples or cysts. My forehead CC's are dissolving. The year-long breakout on my cheeks is gone. I'm only getting one or two spots during my period, and they're much smaller. My routine isn't perfect (I'd like a better moisturizer) but FUCK it's working and here it is. The frequency of the products changes depending on how lazy I am, or if my skin is getting dry, but it mostly goes like this:AM:Walgreens Foaming Facial Cleanser (off brand CeraVe, no fatty alcohols)Stridex Maximum Strength Pads... I was using these daily or even 2x day at the beginning but now about every other day. I could probably use a lower strength but whatever. Sometimes I rinse this off if I have time but usually I don't.COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (ESSENTIAL PRODUCT)The Ordinary Azelaic Acid (new addition to deal with red marks)Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hour Auto Replenishing HydratorBliss Rose Gold Rescue Soothing Toner Mist (will replace with more generic, less ingredients watery mist once used up)random Innisfree sunscreen if I'm going outPM:Walgreens Foaming Facial Cleanser5-10 minute short contact 5% benzoyl peroxide mask. You can use 2.5% for the same effect but this was cheap in bulk on Amazon, lolCOSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power EssenceClinique Moisture Surge 72-hour Auto Replenishing HydratorBliss Rose Gold Rescue Soothing Toner Mist (will replace with more generic, less ingredients watery mist once used up)
