[PSA][Acne] Add zip tie supports to your cloth masks! Better fit, breathing/talking room and less rubbing on cheeks.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Someone in the comments of my other post reminded me about a hack I found for maskne/mask comfort,You know how they make these silicone/plastic mask brackets? They're somewhat common in Asia, but I don't actually find them that comfortable because they shift and rub so much. This is the same concept but BETTER.A while ago I found this video showing how to sew zip tie supports in cloth masks, and this is my take on it, adding additional horizontal supports so the mask wasn't rubbing my cheeks. You do need a cup-shape mask pattern, and it's best if yours already has a nose wire.Obviously, when sewing the 'pockets' for your zip ties, only sew it to the innermost lining layer because you are adding tiny holes. All the masks I did this to had 3 layers including special tech fabrics, and I used a tiny needle with a felling stitch. I do find that I get a better seal around my nose and chin (worth the needle holes), and it gives me room to breathe and talk without the mask sticking to my mouth and cheeks. It works particularly great if you're like me and have a low nose bridge. Hope this helps your masks fit more comfortably, and do share w. your family and friends if it was useful! Comfy masks = better mask compliance :)
