Beauty Tips For Body Care
I really damaged my moisture barrier about a month ago by using too many actives. I have cut them all out completely and have been cleansing with First Aid Beauty and moisturizing with their ultra repair cream. It’s healing, but isn’t quite there yet. My skin is super combo, prone to dehydration, and in my humid climate, definitely leans oily. I’m usually already oily maybe 3 hours into the day, but also often have dry flakies. I’ve started using Glossier’s Super Bounce with hope it would help my dehydration without being too heavy, as most moisturizers are simply too much. I’ve been applying it to dry skin (until I learned yesterday that it should be applied to damp skin) and layering my First Aid Beauty moisturizer over top in the mornings. I’ve noticed that my skin seems to be even drier- tighter, more flaky, still oily- after using the serum. I’m just wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong? I know that if your skin is already dehydrated that HA can draw moisture out. But at what point can it help with hydration? How do I rehydrate my skin? Also have been using Glossier’s Super Pure niacinimide zinc serum (I’ve used niacinimide before and experienced no irritation).
