Beauty Tips For Body Care
:(I have combination, sensitive, and very cystic acne/ acne prone skin. I was hoping to find something simple and moisturizing that wouldn't break me out. Upon reading good reviews from this sub and LRP's website, I decided to give the Toleriane Ultra a try. I also use LRP's sunscreen, which never broke me out, so I thought it would be worth a shot. The bottle was nice; the airless pump and twist cap ensured that the content wouldn't be contaminated while not in use. And as you use more of the product, the air pressure inside the bottle would suck the product out like a vacuum, which ensured that the least amount of product would go to waste. The cream had no smell, and glided onto my skin literally like butter. So within first use, it felt like it was relieving my skin of tightness and dryness.I used this product for 7 weeks in total, morning with SPF and night on its own. While it didn't help with my acne at all, and my cystics kept popping out as they usually would, what drove me to write about this product was that after the second week, I noticed my cheeks would heat up at random hours. Like my blood vessels underneath were dilating. This would happen for around 4-6 hours a day. And not knowing any better, thinking maybe I was just warm, I would fan my hands to cool my cheeks down. After the third week, my cheeks actually developed rosacea. I've never had rosacea before, I just noticed that my skin was not only red, but also tingling, tight, and became very, very sensitive and hot to touch. I thought it was something to do with the humidity and environment since I live in Canada, and the winters here are incredibly dry and cold. So I kept using the product for 3 more weeks hoping my symptoms would go away, but unfortunately they did not, and the pain and discomfort became so unbearable that I realized it was probably not the environment that was causing it. So ultimately I had to switch to a new moisturizer, and no joke, my rosacea went down after 4 uses of the new moisturizer...I tried to post a review on LRP's website. However, after multiple attempts, they emailed me saying they have reviewed my comment but found it didn't fit their standards, so it won't be posted (??).The purpose of this post is to caution others who may be in their early-mid 20s, live in dry, cold environments, and have combination (mostly oily) sensitive acne prone skin. I wanted to share my experience, and is by no means an attempt to discredit the product if you've used it and found it helpful. I just felt the need to make my experience known as LRP refused to allow me to leave a review that didn't make their product look good. That is all.
