Beauty Tips For Body Care
(For reference, I'm a 26 year old male who has had consistent facial acne since high school.)For the past ten years, I've done everything I could to help my skin. Not washing, washing with just water, using moisturizer, using creams, using over the counter products, using prescribed antibiotics, changing my diet, changing my pillowcases daily, keeping my hair short.... Nothing worked.I went to a new dermatologist back in March, and she recommended I try Accutane. I was EXTREMELY skeptical at first thanks to this subreddit, which I recalled talking about the dangerous side effects of the drug. I did some more research online, and decided to go for it, as I didn't see any other option treating my acne.Guys. It's a miracle drug. (At least for me). Within a week of my first dose, my acne was gone. It was the first time seeing my face clear in like a decade. And now after being off the medication for almost two months, I still look better than I ever have.I keep kicking myself for not asking about Accutane earlier, if I had taken it back in highschool I would have had so much more confidence in school, in college, while traveling... So I post this here, in hopes that at least one person who has been struggling to fix their acne heed my advice. As far as side effects, my lips became pretty chapped. But I got used to putting on chapstick every few hours, and I completely forgot about it after a month. The chapped lips also immediately went away when I finished my dose. That's pretty much it. If you have the means and are feeling hopeless, ask your derm about Accutane. It really did change my life.
