[PSA]It was a peanut allergy the whole time

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've had acne my entire life and despite trying all of the oral and topical solutions, including roaccutane, it never ceased. In addition to this my lips peeled relentlessly and my scalp remained bone dry and flaked frequently, despite using conditioner regularly and switching to a sulphate free/silicone free shampoo. My skin could not retain moisture and always had a glossy but thin and tight look about it.The other day, I was at work where about 4 itchy welts appeared at seemingly random locations across my face (3 under my mask, 1 just below my temple). I initially thought it was something I had come into contact with at work (I work in a hospital around hazardous chemicals that aren't very skin friendly) but then I thought to myself, "It's never been this bad before, what the fuck am I doing wrong to suddenly cause an escalation of these symptoms?" and then it hit me. I eat a peanut butter sandwich at night, every single night before bed, sometimes two! and have done so for the past 6 years of my life. HOWEVER THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS INSTANCE, I HAD THREE PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES, because I felt I needed more calories. I then realised that peanuts are a worldwide allergy trigger and it's not so far-fetched to believe I may possess one. So I cut it the fuck out and what do you know? My acne cleared within 3 days, the rate at which my lips exfoliate themselves and produce dead skin has halved, my skin texture appears different and retains moisture in a way I thought it forgot how to do and my scalp feels slightly oily (Where it felt bone dry for as long as I can remember, hence why I had to cut it down so low). This is fucking ridiculous. WHO KNEW?! I FUCKING DIDN'T!!! I'm so angry at myself. There's also a lot of ingredients that I thought broke me out, like shea butter, silicones and fatty alcohols. As it turns out that was simply a consequence of the allergy, as I've been using them to great effect for the past 3 days. Where before they just sat on the surface of my skin clogging ALL of my pores, now they provide the necessary moisture they're supposed to and my skin feels soft and supple. I'm beside myself. Here is a picture of what one of the welts looked likeMoral of the story? Check your allergies.
