On my face, this is one of the most elegant sunscreens I have ever used. It’s *slightly* dewy on my oilier zones, but it’s nothing compared to virtually every other sunscreen I’ve tried (including many HGs like Purito, Biore, Skin Aqua, etc.). From my perspective, the only downside is that it can irritate my eyes if I'm not careful during application. Even so, it's probably my favorite sunscreen of all time, and I'm excited to have found it cheaper and in a larger tube. I will definitely repurchase this.Manufacturer's website: https://www.uriage.com/AA/en/products/bariesun-lait-enfants-spf50-1French lab that tested the sunscreen and found an SPF of 64 and UVAPF of 26: https://www.regard-sur-les-cosmetiques.fr/nos-regards/bariesun-50-enfants-kids-un-bon-produit-solaire-pour-l-ensemble-de-la-famille-657/Uriage BARIÉSUN Mat Fluid SPF 50+ (UVA-PF >20)I was hoping that this would be a more matte version of their fragrance-free cream/kid’s milk (above), but that was definitely not the case. The Tinosorb M in this one shines through, giving it a fairly stark white cast. It does have fragrance, but it actually smells quite nice. I won't be wearing this on my face again, but I plan to use it as a hand sunscreen. The mattifying effect is nice if I need to slather something on my hands before running out the door.Manufacturer's website: https://www.uriage.com/AA/en/products/bariesun-mat-fluid-spf50+Riemann P20 Sun Protection Kids SPF 50+ (UVA-PF >50)This one was such a letdown. It left a pretty noticeable cast on my extremely pale skin and also stung my cheeks a little bit for about twenty minutes after application. Even the most irritating of sunscreens (like Neutrogena’s super high American chemical SPFs) don’t sting my face, so I was surprised that this did. I don’t want to waste such high protection, so I will use the rest of this enormous pump on my shoulders and neck.Manufacturer's website: https://www.p20.com/products/p20kids/Eucerin Sun Fluid Photoaging Control SPF 50 (UVA-PF >16)This one was a pleasant surprise. It leaves no white cast but definitely has a bit of shine. It’s great if you have dry skin or are seeking that glass skin look. I find myself reaching for this fairly often because it’s just so comfortable to wear. When I’m feeling lazy, I can throw this on as a one-step morning routine. It’s definitely moisturizing enough to not need layers beneath. This is one of the few chemical sunscreens that doesn’t seem to irritate my eyes. I will repurchase this.Manufacturer's website:https://int.eucerin.com/products/sun-protection/sun-fluid-photoaging-control-spf-50Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 70I picked this up on my hunt for reliable sunscreens I could get at the drugstore (here in the U.S.). It’s not the worst sunscreen I’ve used, but it’s far from the best. It leaves a white cast similar to the P20 and has an extremely strong, very floral (rose, I think?) scent that reminds me of overpriced department store wrinkle creams. I will use this up during workouts and stuff, but I don't think I'll repurchase. Of all American sunscreens, I trust those under the Johnson & Johnson or L'Oreal parent companies (so Neutrogena, Aveeno, La Roche Posay, etc.)Manufacturer's website: https://www.neutrogena.com/products/sun/ultra-sheer-liquid-sunscreen-broad-spectrum-spf-70/6886009.htmlAveeno Protect and Hydrate Sunscreen for Face SPF 60This was another American drugstore purchase. It doesn't leave a cast, but it does make my skin look a bit greasy. If you have dry skin, and are looking for a reliable sunscreen that's easy to snag here in the U.S., I'd recommend this. I'd skip if you have oily skin, though. It doesn't have fragrance (the ingredients label on their website differs slightly from the one I purchased from Target), but it does have a smell. I don't know any other way to describe the scent other than "maple syrup." It's actually kind of pleasant but a bit unexpected. The extra moisture is nice for winter runs outside, but I don't think I'll be incorporating this into my daily routine. Still, for $9 (and no international shipping!), it's not a terrible option.Manufacturer's website: https://www.aveeno.com/products/protect-hydrate-face-lotion-sunscreen-spf-60Hada Labo UV White Gel SPF 50 (PA++++)Ok, I realize my title was a lie. This is neither European nor American. It's a great sunscreen/moisturizer duo. I find that it makes my skin look dewy but without any unpleasant greasiness. As far as aesthetics, it slightly edges out the Uriage Bariesun Kids Lotion (above), but I prefer the Uriage sunscreen for its higher protection. I will repurchase this, though, because it looks so nice on the skin. Feels very comfortable, too.About My SkinI'm a super pale male in my late 20s. If a sunscreen leaves a cast on me, no one else stands a chance. I have combination skin with a pretty shiny t-zone and, as you can tell from the photo, horrendously ugly bathroom counters.
