TL;DR: Has anyone here experienced severe side effects in their eyes because of certain skincare?Went for a routine eye test to update my prescription and the doctor referred me to a glaucoma specialist because of high eyeball pressure and glaucomatous cupping. This was out of the blue and I'm not even 30...so I tried to look at what could be causing it, and I remembered starting adapalene just last year. I have noticed my eyes are more prone to watering and just feeling weird since starting it....and I found a few papers that link it to irritation in the eyes, but this particular paper cites an incident of a woman on adapalene having swollen eye discs and other bits of more severe reaction. After 6 weeks of stopping adapalene...her eyes started going back to normal.I guess my question is if anyone has had really adverse effects in their eyes because of their skincare? I gotta know.
