[Skin concerns] How to prevent scarring after having a mole/growth frozen?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've had this small flat upraised bump on my arm for several years. It's usually my skintone, but sometimes turns red. I've always felt embarrassed about it. I know it's a little vain and the thing is small but I really don't like it. I feel so self conscious and avoid short sleeves. I have issues with skin picking that occasionally flair up and I have picked at this so many times over the years that it's ridiculous. it's also right where my tshirt sleeves hit so they tend to rub it. I basically always have a hydrocolloid dot on the area to prevent me picking or my shirts rubbing it (which, btw, if you have picking/scratching/plucking habits, those things work great!) I would term it a mole, my doctor called it a "growth." Anyway in a month it's getting frozen off and I wondered if there was any good way to prevent scarring? Will the hydrocolloid dots help? Have any of you had something like this done?
